Good News
Due to continued high support it has been decided to run bowls for the entire year with a break for the Christmas holiday.

Three years ago I made out a poster advertising the proposed start for the 2003 bowling season. "First game of the season is Thursday 2-10-2003". It appears my calendar was slightly fast as the above date has only now just arrived!!!!!!!!!!!!!
We lost the hall, our carpets, and other equipment. But all things come to those who wait and a lot has happened in the last three years. "Wait" as far as the replacement of the Hall, is not the right word. I think everybody young and old were determined and dedicated to raise funds for a new one.
Yes we now have a new venue, a new carpet, what we need now are old and new members.
A meeting was held at the Community Hall on the 23rd November 2006 to discuss the re-forming of the Invergarry Bowling Club. In attendance were:

It was agreed that a charge of £2.00 per head per evening would be made,to include refreshments. It was also agreed that the minimum age for anyone wishing to participate be 16 years owing to the legislation regarding the safety of young people. This could be reviewed at a later date.
The first game has been arranged for Wednesday the 29th November 2006. Thereafter every following Thursday i.e. the 7th, 14th, 21st and 28th December 2006 etc. The evenings will start at 7.00pm and finish at 10.00 pm approximately.
